At The Great Northern Armory, each piece is crafted by hand with intention, care, and durability in mind. Because of the nature of handcrafted and limited-run work, returns and refunds are handled under the policy outlined below.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

All Sales Policy

Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of purchase, all sales are final.

Many of our products are produced in limited quantities or involve custom construction processes. As a result, we do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons such as preference, sizing issues, or cosmetic variation inherent to handcrafted leather goods.

Returns

We accept returns on eligible items within 30 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

    • Unused and unworn

    • In original condition

    • Free of damage, modification, or excessive wear

    • Returned with original packaging when applicable

Custom or made-to-order items are final sale and are not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Restocking Fee

Eligible returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

This fee helps offset the labor involved in inspection, handling, and preparation of handcrafted goods. The restocking fee will be deducted from the refunded amount once the return has been received and inspected.

Refunds

Once your return is received and approved, a refund will be issued to the original payment method, minus:

    • The 20% restocking fee

    • Original shipping costs

Please allow several business days for refunds to process after approval.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

To request assistance, you must provide:

    • Your order number

    • A description of the issue

    • Clear photos showing the damage or defect

After review, we will determine the appropriate resolution, which may include:

    • Repair

    • Replacement (if available)

    • Refund (at our discretion)

We reserve the right to request the return of the item before issuing a replacement or refund.

Custom and Made-to-Order Items

Custom, personalized, or made-to-order items are not eligible for return or refund, except where required by law.

This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Custom sizing

    • Personalized design elements

    • Special materials or finishes requested by the customer

Wear, Use, and Natural Variation

Leather is a natural material that will age, mark, and change over time. Variations in grain, color depth, texture, and finish are not considered defects.

Normal wear, patina development, or changes resulting from use, environment, or care practices are not eligible for return or refund.

Shipping Issues

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, The Great Northern Armory is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the carrier.

If a package is lost or damaged in transit, please contact the carrier directly. We are happy to assist with documentation if needed.

Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled before production has begun. Once work has started, orders cannot be canceled or refunded.

Because many items are produced in limited runs, cancellation eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis.
